Zip-Ah-Dee-Do-Dah!

Four friends from work and I went to the Ocoee Mountains this weekend. On Saturday, Miranda, Shasta, and I went zip-lining.

The initial jump was the most daunting because I didn't know what to expect. You run off the tower platform and jump into the air. For a split second it feels like a free fall until the cable catches you. It was so much fun! :)

There were 7 lines. On this one, you had the option of falling off backwards in order to hang upside down for part of the ride. I wasn't going to do it backwards, but most of the group did it and survived, so I gave it a try.:) You could do a front flip off the platform on the next line. There are no pictures to prove it, but I did attempt a front flip. However, being the unathletic person that I am, it was more of a half roll. But at least I tried. That's all that counts, right? :)

Mission Accomplished!

Jump, Miranda!

Hang on to your helmet!

Yahoooo!

Shasta

The second line was my favorite. After you jump, the guides start bouncing the cable. It is like being on a trampoline in mid-air!

After the zip-line experience, we drove through the mountains. The autumn leaves were beautiful!

The river and mountains were so peaceful, especially compared to the constant chaos at work. We all needed a weekend to get away from it all. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. :) The Lord was certainly watching out for me when he placed me where I would be blessed with co-workers who would become dear friends.
