Happy 2012!
Jennalyn and Shelby spent New Year's weekend at my house. Having friends over for the New Year has been a tradition since 1999 rolled over to 2000 when Shelby and I were kids. We make goals, eat yummy food, watch movies, and catch up on each other's news. It is a wonderful time of fellowship and encouragement, and the perfect way to begin a new year! :)
I picked Jennalyn up from the airport Thursday evening. On Friday, we ate the scrumptious bagels and pastries she had brought from Wegmans in New York.

Friday evening, we cooked a fancy supper of parmesan chicken, mashed potatoes, asparagus, brussel sprouts, and salad, and dined by candlelight.

Two of my very favorite people: Shelby, sister by birth, & Jennalyn, sister in Christ.

We ate a picnic lunch in the woods and took a three-mile hike Sunday afternoon.
