New Orleans

April 2nd--We drove to New Orleans to tour the National World War II museum.

The 2 1/2 hour drive included much laughter, lengthy discussions on social justice and women's roles in the church & society, and frequent comments from Jennalyn, my city friend, "Holly, is there any way possible we could at least go 55 mph? I will tell you where to turn."...5 seconds later, "Turn here!" I then made comments about her lack of navigational skills. :)

I am not a city girl. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to pay the parking meter with a debit card!

Victory! :)

We ate breakfast at a bagel shop.

Jennalyn is from New York and is a connoisseur of bagels.

I am not from New York. I will eat any bagel as long as it has enough cream cheese on top. :)

Jennalyn, my artist friend who adds a great deal of color to my life!

After walking all over the place for several hours, we stopped at a coffee shop for a much needed...

...frozen lemonade and snack! :)

We ended the day at a Greek restaurant in Mobile.

The hummus was delicious!
