Park Cafe Memories

Sadly, this summer was Park Cafe's last season after nearly four decades. I had hoped to take my family there someday and reunite with old friends.
I know it is cliche, but the summer of 2012 was the experience of a lifetime! The hikes, the pies, the grizzly bear/moose encounter, whitewater rafting, the meteor shower---all contributed to the amazing experience. However, the people I met while working at Park Cafe comprise my favorite memories of the time I spent in Glacier. After four months, I returned to my home in the south having made many new friends. Three of us have managed to get together for visits since last summer. We have hiked in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, celebrated the New Year in Kentucky, and have ridden roller coasters together in Michigan. The friends I haven't seen since last summer live very far away. Someday, I hope to give them a tour of the southern states I call home. I will always be thankful for that summer spent in the mountains because I was blessed to gain several friends who became part of my family.
