Our Neighbors in Syria

I watched the video tonight of Syrian civilians being rescued by the U.N. earlier today. So many people rushing about as mortars landed nearby, mothers holding tight to their children's hands, screaming the names of children who had become separated from them in the throng of people. Bags, suitcases, belongings, remnants of the lives they had made in that city scattered on the ground. I thought of my kids who were able to happily run around beneath the shade trees this afternoon, playing tag, laughing, and complaining about the homework they needed to complete tonight. I can't imagine any of them fleeing a war zone, but that is reality for hundreds of thousands of our fellow human beings on the other side of the world. Please continue to pray for Syria and seek ways to help them.
