~The flight home~

~Flying to Cincinatti~
~My favorite in-flight beverage...cranberry-apple juice~

I had flown 9 times before, but the flight back to Nashville was my first time on a plane without any family or friends. It wasn't too bad, really. I used my backpack for a pillow and slept for a while in the Buffalo airport while I waited on the flight to Cincinatti. When I awoke, I met a lady from Oklahoma City who kept me company until we boarded the plane. I slept all the way to Ohio. While I waited in Cincinatti, I met a man who works for Lockheed(sp.?)-Martin and travels 300 days a year. He told me about how important it is to balance weight in a plane, as well as a frightening flight he was on where the pilot left a heater on which caused the windshield to spider crack at 30,000 feet. Had the window shattered, the plane would have crashed. I don't think he knew to whom he was telling those horror stories. Otherwise, he would have proclaimed the safety of planes instead. ha ha ;) The flight to Nashville was fun. I sat behind a guy from Norway who carried on a conversation with the man in the seat next to him(a soldier who had been to Iraq 3 times!) the entire time we were in the air. I'll admit that I eavesdropped. :) I learned all about the Norwegian military and the country's weather patterns.
Suffice it to say, I loved New York, met lots of nice people, and overall, had a wonderful experience!
