The flights to Romania were smooth. :) The only disturbing event occurred on the flight from Newark to London. Halfway through the flight, a man collapsed and had to be dragged to the back of the plane by a burly British flight attendant. He was on oxygen for 20 minutes as he lay in the floor, then he returned to his seat (right across the aisle from me). As I was flying out of Memphis, I saw a house burning down and fire trucks lining the street.
I watched an in-flight movie (How to Tame Your Dragon) on the way to London that helped pass the time. :)
Upon arrival in Bucharest, one of the Romanian christians picked me up from the airport. I stayed with his family and the American missionary for the night, then was returned to the airport Saturday afternoon to join the rest of team. Eugen, Petronela, and Dale were so welcoming and hospitable! :) I hope I will be able to return to Bucharest someday to visit them again.
Also, I would like to commend British Airways for having the nicest flight attendants, airport workers, etc...I was very impressed with the British I met at the Heathrow Airport in London. I'm looking forward to exploring the city during my 17-hour layover on the way home at the end of this month.
