Happy 32nd anniversary to my mom and dad, also known as Llama Mama and Quigley. They have made it for over three decades---a monumental feat in a world where so many people give up and walk away from each other. They could have walked away---many, many times; but they chose to stay, and I will always be grateful for their commitment, perseverance, and willingness to forgive. They are the unlikeliest of couples, as different as night and day, yet I cannot imagine one without the other. They met on a blind date, were engaged a month later, and walked down the aisle three months after that. Whirlwind courtship is putting it mildly. They are my cheerleaders and advice-givers, and two of the funniest people I've ever known. I love them both more than words can express, and I'm so thankful we are still a solid family unit of one house and one dinner table when I return for visits. Below is a slideshow of pictures documenting the past 32 years, complete with the theme song from 'their' movie---Quigley Down Under.
