Peles Castle

Hospital shifts with the babies are not available on weekends, so several of the volunteers toured Peles Castle on Saturday. The castle is located in the mountains one hour outside of Brasov.

As a disclaimer, funds that were raised are not used for tours or sightseeing. All donations are in a separate account.

This man was playing the pan flute along the walkway to the castle.

PeleČ™ Castle is a Neo-Renaissance castle in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia, Romania, on an existing medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia. The castle was built between 1873 and 1914. Its inauguration was held in 1883.

-I toured the castle with my teammates from Texas-

The castle reminds me of the Biltmore in North Carolina.

After the tour, as we made a rather lengthy trek back to the car, a thunderstorm rolled in. Icy cold rain pelted us for 20 minutes, and we were soaked by the time we reached shelter. All part of the adventure!
