Romanian Countryside

The following verses of 'How Great Thou Art' were written by English missionary, Stuart K. Hine, while
 hiking in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. The beauty of the mountains and the awesome power of a
thunderstorm he experienced inspired him to pen these words.

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
When through the woods and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!

Rasnov Fortress--Construction began circa 1215 by the Teutonic Knights.

Life is like a mountain railroad,
With an engineer that's brave;
We must make the run successful,
From the cradle to the grave;
Watch the curves, the fills, the tunnels;
Never falter, never quail;
Keep your hand upon the throttle,
And your eye upon the rail.

You will roll up grades of trial;
You will cross the bridge of strife;
See that Christ is your conductor,
On this lightning train of life.
